Gameplay Summary:

WASD To move, click to shoot/select. E to use purchased abilities, Space to slow your speed to make dodging some attacks easier. Hold F when buying upgrades to use 10 coins at a time instead of 1. Progress through all 5 areas to win, and fight enemies along the way! In order to finish an area you must defeat all of the enemies and the boss. If you lose to the boss, don't worry! You won't need to get past all of the enemies again, and instead can retry the boss immediately. Once you clear the area, this checkpoint will be removed. You can choose between 3 classes that each have unique perks that scale with your level, and provide scaling boosts to their respective stats. At a high enough level, these classes get 'Pure' forms that boost their perks, but reduce specific stats. You can also choose between 4 weapons: Blaster(Average Damage, basic and reliable), Charger(High Damage, requires precise timing and accuracy), Spreader(Shoots several pellets in a wide angle, rewards risky playing), and Laser(Low Damage, constantly hit multiple targets with ease). You can buy upgrades, spend coins, save/load your game, and change your class/weapon after completing an area, or if you lose. If you die, you will lose 50% of the coins you gained in the area you lost in.

Story/Lore:

This universe was created by Singularity, a cosmic being with nigh unlimited power. Singularity's first action within this universe was forging a creature from fire; Pyrorb. Singularity infused within Pyrorb the ability to create, and instructed Pyrorb to utilize its unique ability in order to create more inhabitants of Singularity's universe. The most loyal creations of Pyrorb were the two guardians, Basher and Valkyrie. Basher's watchful eye kept everything in order, while Valkyrie was tasked with enacting swift justice against any threats. The two guardians ensured that the many creations of Pyrorb would be safe if anything were to go wrong.

Another one of Pyrorb's successful creations were two beings it called "Players". These Players harnessed reality-bending powers far beyond Pyrorb's intentions: They could absorb the Power of those they killed, had the ability to learn any form of combat imaginable, and they could even revive themselves; something that only Singularity was capable of doing with great effort. Seeing great potential within both of the Player creatures, Singularity decided to test their might, wanting to use them as powerful guardians to fend off foreign threats.

The first Player, or "Player 1", was light-bluish in color, rebellious, and had to be forcibly locked up under the surveillance of Basher. Singularity was unable to control this Player, as they were prone to frequent outbursts. These outbursts were violent, with the Player seemingly lacking empathy for any of Pyrorb's other creations. When confronted, their apologies were forced and disingenuous; they would steal, lie, and hurt, just to get Singularity's attention, to show off that they were strong enough to be a guardian. Singularity wouldn’t have any of it; Singularity could see through their hollow lies.

Singularity concluded that it would be a better idea to support the OTHER, much more cooperative Player. This Player was a turquoise color, and was far more suited to become one of Singularity's guardians. Singularity gave this "Player 2" much more care and attention through intense virtual-combat training and artificial augmentations. Player 2 rapidly became Singularity's strongest and most dedicated guardian, surpassing both Basher and Valkyrie in Power.

Word would spread enough of Player 2’s accomplishments that Basher’s minions would often bring it up in conversation. However, they were blissfully unaware that Player 1 often listened in on their gossip. Player 1, of course, grew truly enraged that their counterpart was receiving so much more attention and care than they were. Player 1 was now entirely disenchanted with Singularity and the supposed “paradise” they had created. Player 1 believed that they deserved better than to be locked up. Soon enough, Player 1 would act on their growing frustration.
