Random BHRPG Update #5

~~~~~Gameplay Updates:
=COMPLETED=
- Finished EX Boss 3!
- Finished changes to EX Boss 1/2!
-IN PROGESS-
- Started work on streamer weapon upgrades
- Working on making all enemies more fair and weaker overall
- Balancing/nerfing existing weapons and class synergies
- Creating cutscenes for EX Boss 3 and all areas
- Updating tutorial dialogue and pacing
- Finishing Reality Breaker weapon perks
~~~~~Graphical/Audio Updates:

- New Quil design!
- New title screen and logo!
- Found new music for many bosses and areas! (Bosses all have Metal themes)

- Recording and adding new music
- Polishing 4 main boss designs
~~~~~Noteworthy Bugs/Issues:
=FIXED=
- Streamer weapon path not going off screen
- Reality Breaker weapon 'ticking' too frequently, dealing too much damage
-DISCOVERED-
- EX Boss 3 Phase 2 can be hit before phase transition ends
- EX Boss 1 steals your Magic Class when defeated (lmao)
- New tutorial dialogue caused Quil to switch to incorrect sprites
- Some tutorial dialogue goes off screen, has incorrect grammar,
- Cutscene assets are not up to date with new Ancient designs
- EX Boss 1's dodging mechanic causes frame drops when off screen
- EX Boss 3 HP numbers go off screen
~~~~~Current Goals/Planned Changes:
- Add a training room for testing damage
- Add coins and items to Quil's shop
- Clean up old GUI elements
- Make a new demo from the most recent build
- Clean up and retcon ALL LORE from previous games (Endless Boss Fight, BHRPG1), including sprites, dialogue, sounds and music, so that ALL GAMES comply with the underlying BHRPG narrative (this will be pain)
~~~~~Additional Comments:/Thoughts:
Since these updates really aren't weekly anymore, I've changed them to just be "random" updates because I don't think I can consistently put these out. I'm also making the format much more akin to a list rather than a bunch of paragraphs. This is for two reasons: one, it's really hard for people to want to read an essay, and two: It's easier for me to write. This section will stay in the old format because I can't really make it a list without losing out on information. My main focus for BHRPG development has been lore for the last 5 months or so. I'm getting close to being fully satisfied with the lore aspect of the games, but I'm still going over everything. Lore and polishing errors are the last hurdles before I focus all of my attention on making bullet patterns and enemies, then I can finally release the damn game. As for IRL, I've still got a lot going on for the time being, but summer should be much lighter, meaning I'll probably be able to get all of the bosses done before this fall. No promises, though.
